Serbian parliament expected to elect new government Thursday

The Serbian parliament is scheduled to hold a session on Thursday afternoon when the new government is expected to be elected.

After the new government is elected, the prime minister and government members are scheduled take an oath.

The new Serbian government is expected to be led by Prime Minister Designate Ivica Dacic and will be comprised of 17 ministers, four deputy prime ministers and a minister without portfolio.

Serbia's new ruling coalition is being formed by Dacic's Socialists (SPS), the Progressive Party (SNS), and the United Regions of Serbia (URS).

They will need the support of at least 126 of the 250 MPs.

Parliamentary elections were held in Serbia on May 6. (Hina)
